That Vacation- Chapter 2

Alright so I know it's not "tomorrow" but here's Chapter 2! :)

Day 3

Tuesday, March 23: Day at sea

When I booked our cabin I did the "Spa" upgrade. It wasn't that much more and everyone likes getting pampered right!? (At least I do !) I'm way glad we did. It was WAY cheaper to do it that way then to purchase it on the ship! It gave us unlimited access to their private salted hot tub, lemon grass steam room, regular steam room, sauna rooms which had these beds that were heated, and their "relaxation room". I liked the private hot tub the best just because, if you've been on a cruise you'll know there are TONS of people. The public hot tubs seem to always be PACKED. I love hot tubs, but I'm not really down with cramming into steamy hot water while rubbing up against some drunk fat person that I don't know. So having a private one was really nice!! As for Blake, he loooved the lemon grass steam room, he gets pretty dry skin and he loved soaking up the moisture! The aromatherapy made it just that much better! We spent a good amount of time here.

This day, we also spent some good "quality" ;) time in our cabin, watched some movies (we brought movies like Pirates of the Carribean, The Little Mermaid, Master & Commander..ocean movies haha) took some good long naps, and some other things that I probably shouldn't mention on here, it was great!!

This baby is what got us in and out of the spa whenever we want :)
(This is the only picture I have for this day) :(

Day 4

Wednesday, March 24: Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

We arrived in Puerto Vallarta at 9:00 AM. We woke up about 9 and went down to the desk of "excursions".
I don't know why but I've ALWAYS wanted to swim with dolphins. It's always been one of those things I have to do before I die. So we signed up for it!!! It was pretty pricey but I think totally worth it. Dolphins are amazing animals. It was sooo fun.
HOWEVER, one thing I was sooo upset about. When you go there they have people taking pictures of you while you're in the water, my thinking was well it might be a little expensive, but this is a once in a lifetime thing! So in my head I planned on buying those photos, since Blake and I were BOTH in the water at the same time, we couldn't really get pictures. So after we are done, we go out to look at the photos..they wanted $250.00 for those photos! or $100 for ten. :
You'd think that since they charge so much for the actual excursion they wouldn't go THAT extreme, but they did. I was so mad I refused to by a single picture. Can you believe that!? I was SO disappointed. So if you ever do that excursion bring someone along who doesn't get in the water so they can take pictures of you. :) But it really was SO fun. The place we went for this excursion didn't only have dolphins, they also have sea lions and parrots. (They probably have more animals but those were all we saw) and they let hold and feed the birds. So we got some good pictures of that at least. :)
(I actually think I went a little crazy taking pictures after the dolphin thing..haha)

Alright, have you ever seen the Harry Potter movie when Harry gets on the "magic" bus? Where its speeding crazy around everyone and like gets skinnier to to through building and stuff?
Thats exactly what bus rides are like in Mexico. haha Seriously they have almost no regard for stop signs, they are clearly not worried about hitting other cars (which is why they have the big cage things attached to the front of the vehicle to protect it) and drive as fast and jerky as if the were driving a small sports car. It's absolutely insane! Haha but way fun. So we had to take a couple pictures on the bus...

Since we stayed in Puerte Vallarta longer than we did at the other stops, we got to do more. After the excursion we went to the beach. I didn't feel like getting in the water, but Blake did! The waves are wayyy bigger than waves in California and Florida (which is where most my "beach experiences" are from) so that makes it even more fun!

Sorry I'm not done quite yet...I'll finish up the rest later!

This cruise sounds like so much fun! I am so glad you are telling what happened. I have to say I am jealous about the swimming with the dolphins!!
